Therapy information
Important Information & Precautions.
Evidence and safety notes for the therapies described on this website. Discuss these with your clinician before considering any treatment.
Compounded products are not FDA-approved. A listing does not confirm clinic availability or individual suitability. Nutrient roles do not establish benefits from an injection or infusion.
Methylcobalamin (B12)
Extra B12 has not been shown to improve energy when you already get enough.
Biotin
Evidence for beauty benefits is limited. Biotin can interfere with lab tests.
Alpha-lipoic Acid (IV Only)
This IV preparation requires clinical review. Benefits are uncertain; low blood sugar and infusion reactions are considerations.
Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3)
Supplementation is guided by your needs. Excess vitamin D can raise calcium levels and harm the kidneys.
Olympia Vita-Complex
A compounded blend. Nutrients’ roles do not establish an energy boost from injections.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
These nutrient roles do not establish added benefits from an IV infusion.
LipoStat Plus
This compounded blend is not FDA-approved for weight loss; weight-loss benefits from the injection are not established.
Glutathione
This does not establish detoxification or disease-treatment benefits from injections. FDA has raised contamination concerns with compounded injections.
NAD+
This role does not establish improved energy, focus, sleep or endurance from infusions. FDA has reported adverse reactions to compounded injections.
Gonadorelin
Appropriateness and legal availability depend on the exact product. Increased testosterone or fertility is not assured.
GLP-1 Agonist
Approved uses and precautions depend on the exact product. Compounded versions are not FDA-approved and have not been established as equivalent to approved products.
Common effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation. Serious risks with products discussed in the guide include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, severe digestive reactions, dehydration-related kidney injury and allergic reactions. Low blood sugar is more likely with insulin or certain other diabetes prescriptions.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide carry boxed warnings based on thyroid C-cell tumors in animals; whether they cause these tumors in humans is unknown. They are contraindicated with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2).
Discuss pregnancy plans, breastfeeding, severe stomach-emptying problems, diabetic eye disease, other prescriptions and upcoming anesthesia with your clinician. Tirzepatide can affect oral contraceptive effectiveness. Review the complete label for the product prescribed; this is not a complete list of risks.
Myers’ Cocktail (IV)
Its ingredients do not establish longevity, vitality or pain-relief benefits. Individual health and kidney function require review.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage & OMT
Manual lymphatic drainage uses light, directed skin movements. Osteopathic lymphatic techniques are a related, distinct approach that may include soft-tissue release, breathing-related techniques and lymphatic pumps. Clinical evidence for lymphatic OMT remains limited; studies of manual drainage show mixed added benefit.
Lymphedema care may also require compression, exercise, skin care and a trained lymphedema specialist. These hands-on approaches complement an individualized medical plan.
New, painful, red or one-sided swelling needs medical assessment before treatment. Suspected blood clots, active skin infection or unstable heart failure require medical care first. Recent surgery and significant heart or kidney disease need individualized clearance. Temporary soreness or discomfort can occur; tell your clinician if symptoms worsen.
Clinical overview: lymphatic OMT techniques and precautions
Lymphatic OMT: small pilot study
Manual drainage: randomized trial of added benefit
