Movement care
Care for Muscles, Joints and Movement
Pain in a muscle or joint can change how you get through the day. Care focuses on movement and everyday function, with hands-on and procedure-based options chosen after an evaluation.
Your first visit starts with how the problem began, what makes it better or worse, and what you’d like to be able to do again. Bring any imaging reports or notes from physical therapy you’ve had.
Dr. Sarthak Parikh, DO, is an osteopathic physician with a deep background in orthopedic medicine and rehabilitation, so your plan can combine hands-on treatment with injections when that’s the better fit.
A lot of people put off getting a sore knee, back or shoulder looked at until it starts affecting sleep or work. You don’t need to wait that long. We’ll examine how you move, not only where it hurts, since pain in one area is sometimes driven by stiffness or weakness somewhere else. Expect to move around a bit during the exam.

Potential benefits
Getting You Moving Again
The aim is to help you move more comfortably and do more of what you need to each day. Treatment is matched to the problem, and some people do best with a mix of approaches.
We start with the least invasive option that makes sense for you.
- Easing selected muscle and joint discomfort.
- Improving movement and everyday function.
- Addressing muscle tension and stiffness.
Evidence and suitability differ by procedure. Prolotherapy evidence is limited for some conditions.
With ultrasound guidance, the clinician can see the area being treated during trigger point and joint injections. Hands-on care like OMM and dry needling can be used on its own or alongside injections. Before you decide, we’ll explain what each option involves, what the evidence looks like for your situation and what recovery is likely to feel like.
Most plans include something you can do at home, like gentle stretches or changes to how you sit or lift. Those small habits help in-clinic care last longer. If your symptoms point to something that needs a specialist, we’ll tell you and help you get there.
