About Le Paon Wellness Spa
We’re a functional medicine and wellness practice in Winter Park, Florida. Care here starts with your story: your health history, nutrition, sleep, stress and movement, and the goals you bring with you.
Our approach
What Is Functional Medicine?
Functional medicine is a personalized, holistic approach that considers how your history, nutrition, sleep, stress, movement and environment may contribute to your symptoms. We combine established care, practical lifestyle support and carefully reviewed emerging options when appropriate.
Our providers come from different backgrounds. Dr. Parikh is an osteopathic physician with a deep background in orthopedic medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Erdelyi focuses on functional health and nerve care, and Stacy Felix is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Between them, physical, nutritional and emotional health can be looked at together, in one place.
How is it different from conventional medicine?
We give extra attention to nutrition, movement, sleep, stress and daily habits. Our care complements the medical care you already receive.
Do I need a diagnosis first?
No. Whether you have a diagnosis or simply feel “not quite right,” we start by understanding your health.
Your first visit lasts about an hour, so there’s time to go through your history properly and ask questions. We see patients in person at our office on Aloma Avenue in Winter Park.
What we cover
What We Can Talk About
These are the areas people most often bring to us. You don’t need to fit neatly into one of them, and many people come in with concerns that touch two or three. We look at the lifestyle factors behind each one, alongside the care you already receive.
- Heart & metabolic health: blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, diabetes, weight and fatty liver.
- Digestion: reflux, IBS, bloating, bowel changes and food sensitivities.
- Hormonal health: thyroid concerns, menopause, low testosterone symptoms, PCOS and irregular periods.
- Sleep & wellbeing: fatigue, insomnia, stress, burnout and mood concerns.
- Pain & inflammation: muscle and joint pain, headaches and migraines, plus support alongside specialist care for inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
- Daily habits: nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management and reducing alcohol or tobacco.
When appropriate, medication changes are coordinated with your prescriber.
If something here sounds familiar, a first visit is the place to start. Bring recent labs, your medication and supplement list, and a brief timeline of your symptoms, and we’ll decide together what to tackle first.
