Our approach

Hormone Care, Built Around You

Hormone changes can affect sleep, comfort and how you feel day to day. For some women that means hot flashes and night sweats during menopause. For some men it’s symptoms linked to low testosterone. Either way, it deserves a proper conversation rather than guesswork.

We start with your symptoms, health history and current prescriptions. Lab work can help confirm what’s going on, especially when a testosterone deficiency is being considered, so bring any recent results with you. Then we talk through whether hormone therapy is a sensible option, what the choices are, and how the risks and benefits look for someone with your history.

Hormone therapy isn’t the right fit for everyone. Part of our job is telling you plainly when another route makes more sense.

Other hormonal concerns we can discuss include thyroid concerns, PCOS and irregular periods.

It helps to come in with a short timeline of your symptoms: when they started, what makes them worse and anything you’ve already tried, including over-the-counter products and supplements. That gives us a much clearer starting point than a single snapshot. Appointments are in person at our Winter Park office.

Potential benefits

What Hormone Therapy May Help With

When hormone therapy is appropriate, the goals tend to be practical. Most people simply want to sleep through the night and get through the day without symptoms getting in the way.

  • Easing menopausal hot flashes and night sweats.
  • Improving vaginal comfort and sleep disrupted by menopause symptoms.
  • Addressing selected symptoms of medically confirmed testosterone deficiency.

Suitability depends on your health history and the specific therapy.

Before you start, we’ll agree on what you’d like to see change, so follow-up visits have something concrete to measure against. Those visits are a chance to review how you’re feeling, look at side effects, recheck labs where needed and decide whether to continue, adjust or stop.

If you see other doctors, please share your records and updates with them. We’re happy to work alongside your care team, but we don’t routinely contact other providers ourselves.

Hormone treatment is something we revisit over time rather than set once and forget. Your needs at fifty may look different from your needs at sixty, and the plan should change with you. Changes may take weeks or months, and results vary from person to person.
